ACUPUNCTURE

What is ACUPUNCTURE?

SAFER SIX is proud to be a safe space for body-positive, sex-positive, inclusive acupuncture.

Acupuncture is a traditional Chinese medicine treatment that consists of inserting thin needles in specific parts of your body to produce a brain reaction that releases natural painkillers and neurotransmitters. This relaxes you and creates a unique sensation of relief. Our experienced Registered Acupuncturists are very professional, and will guide you through the process if this is your first time experiencing the benefits of acupuncture.

Acupuncture can be used as preventative medicine through supporting immune function, processing emotions and balancing pain patterns before they fully come on. As well, Acupuncture is also integral in recovery from more consuming patterns and issues.

She has experience treating:

Their practice has been greatly shaped by working with people experiencing HIV+ at the Toronto People with Aids Foundation as well as having spent the majority of their acupuncture time working in a community clinic setting where many folks could receive treatment at the same time while in shared space. She practices with an anti-oppressive, trauma informed, anti-racist and de-colonizing approach in a 2SLGBTQIA+ positive space.
